The Supplication Upon Breakingfast

The sequence done in the Sunnah:
1- you make free form dua all day before Maghrib (optional)
2- you break your fast at Maghrib time (required)
3- you say this supplication right after eating/drinking something (recommended)
4- you make free form dua (optional)
5- you continue with your meal (optional)

The common mistake is to hault breaking the fast by making free form dua, or by saying this specific supplication before breaking your fast.

dhahaba ḍḥ- ḍḥama’,

wa btallati l-ʿurūq,      Duʿā’ for breaking Fast

wa thabata l-ajru in shā’a L-LĀH.

afṭara ʿinda-kumu ṣ-ṣā’imūn,

wa akala ṭaʿāma-kumu l-Abrār,   Duʿā’ for host

wa ṣallat ʿalai-kumu l-Malā’ikah.

subḥāna RABBīya L-ʿAḌḤĪM.   Duʿā’ during Rukūʿ

samiʿa L-LĀHU li-man ḥamida-H,  Duʿā’ after rising

RABBA-nā wa la-KA l-Ḥamd.   from Rukūʿ

RABBA-nā wa la-KA l-Ḥamd;

mil’a s-Samawāti,      Duʿā’ after rising

wa mil’a l-Arḍi,      from Rukūʿ

wa mil’a mā shi’TA min shai’in baʿd.

subḥāna RABBīya L-AʿLĀ.    Duʿā’ during Sajdah

SUBBŪḤ,

QUDDŪS,       Duʿā’ during Rukūʿ & Sajdah

RABBU l-Malā’ikati wa r-Rūḥ

subḥāna dhi l-Jabarūt,

wa l-Malakūt,       Duʿā’ during

wa l-Kibriyā’,       Rukūʿ & Sajdah

wa l-ʿAḍḥamah.
