Two of them pray at school. In your parent/teacher manual there is a topic on this stating that concesions will/can be made for children who CHOOSE to pray. You need to talk to the PRINCIPAL about this. <br/><br/>They pray either at the end of lunch, beginning of PE or study hall or some non academic class depending on the timing of Thuhur. I have NEVER had a problem with them allowing them to pray, maasha Allah. The location of their prayers is once again based on the time and empty rooms at the time. They have even prayed in huge "supply closets" as long as the floors are "clean". There are so many concesions that we can get and have the RIGHT to receive in public school for our children. Some of them that I have gotten is certain ommisions in music class such as instruments, not standing for the pledge of "allegiance to the FLAG?", and uniform exemptions. These are all given with not much problems, maasha Allah, and are even stated in those manuals that conesions can be made for us. I think doing for our children also teaches them that just because we are at school/work does not mean that our Islam (WAY OF LIFE) goes on hold for those times. She is there to help you deal with personal issues. She might let you use her office to pray or at least she can advise you on where to pray. Mostly it's just zuhr you have to catch during the school day, and you can do that in your lunch hour insha'Allah. If zuhr comes after lunch time, then wait until there is a break between classes and meet the teacher outside of classtime to let him know that you are going to be 5 minutes late to class each day because you have a required prayer at that time. If you don't feel comfortable having that talk or if the teacher refuses, use the school counselor as a resource again and ask her to talk to the teacher with you or for you. May Allah make it easy for you and bless you for trying hard in this deen as a young Muslim! Assalaamu alaikum…
